Blackstar develops, finances and operates U.S. solar module factories. Two 2 GW plants are in development: Ohio Sunshine in Coshocton County, Ohio, and Texas Sunshine in the Dallas–Fort Worth region.
Development targets. See notes below.
What we do
We plan the factory, the supply chain and the capital stack together. Each plant is designed around two fully automated module lines, a domestic supply strategy and long-term commercial contracts signed before production begins.
Toll manufacturing
Developers, manufacturers and buyers reserve production capacity on our lines. They supply or specify the cells; we assemble modules to their specification for a per-watt fee.
Module supply
Utility-scale modules built in Ohio and Texas, close to the projects that use them, with the documentation buyers need for domestic content and supply-chain compliance.
Partnerships
Long-term structures with developers, cell suppliers and manufacturers: capacity reservation, anchor supply and joint development at the project level.
Projects
Ohio Sunshine and Texas Sunshine share one design: the same production lines, operating model and quality system. A customer qualified at one plant can be supplied from either.
